Lana Del Ray was the Rose Gatsby needed from the beginning :D <3 | "I have an idea that Gatsby himself didn't believe it would come, and perhaps he no longer cared. If that was true he must have felt that he had lost the old warm world, paid a high price for living too long with a single dream. He must have looked up at an unfamiliar sky through frightening leaves and shivered as he found what a grotesque thing a rose is and how raw the sunlight was upon the scarcely created grass. A new world, material without being real, where poor ghosts, breathing dream like air, drifted fortuitously about... like that ashen, fantastic figure gliding toward him through the amorphous trees." Gatsby knew he hold a promise and love for way to long, and deep down he did wanted to forget about it. But Daisy Fay her name fitting for the disgusting person she is, was the main problem. In this horrific quote is the moment Gatsby dying and all that he had and goals was token away from him. From the start it wasn't Wilson who took does things from him... but his love of his life herself. It is weird how it said "he found what a grotesque thing a rose is" a magical and beautiful natural art itself was. Poor Gatsby should of found himself a an rose instead of sticky around a long time for a fragile Daisy. Comparing a rose from a Daisy, the rose would live a longer life spam of a week or two not like an Daisy who would fall in small amount of time when picked. |
